Volumizing Fillers

Replenish The Natural Beauty of Your Skin

Over time our faces change, developing wrinkles and deep lines. We lose collagen with age and our skin becomes less flexible and lacks elasticity.  To counteract the effect of this lack of collagen, and to fill in the wrinkles, a collection of fillers has been developed.

One type of filler, such as Juvederm®, consists of hyaluronic acid (HA). HA can be used anywhere and is easily broken down by the body.

Another type of filler is Radiesse®, a calcium-enriched hyaluronic acid based filler for modern non-invasive cosmetic surgery. The active ingredients do two things: support the skin with a scaffolding-like structure and actively promote collagen growth.

JUVÉDERM®

The JUVÉDERM® collection of fillers is made from hyaluronic acid (HA). Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance in the skin that delivers nutrients, helps the skin retain moisture and softness, and adds volume. Each product in the JUVÉDERM® collection of fillers is made from a modified form of HA.

Your aesthetic specialist administers the treatment during a brief office visit. JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC, JUVÉDERM® XC, and JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC contain lidocaine to help minimize discomfort during treatment. If you’re still concerned about treatment discomfort, your aesthetic specialist may offer additional anesthetic options for you.

Smile Lines

For most of us, smile lines – also known as nasolabial folds – are nothing to smile about. These lines and creases run from the side of the nose to the corner of the mouth, and are the result of the loss of facial volume and skin elasticity as we age. They can make you look older, tired, or unhappy – even though you feel youthful inside. Fortunately, treatment with RADIESSE® can help replenish youthful volume and stimulate your own collagen production, minimizing the appearance of those pesky facial lines, wrinkles, and folds that mask our smiles. Best of all, results are clinically proven to last a year or more in many patients. RADIESSE® is truly unique in that it both immediately restores volume and stimulates the production of your own natural collagen.

Marionette Lines

Even if you have never heard of marionette lines, you probably know what they are. These lines that run straight downwards from the corners of the mouth can make you look unhappy. Marionette lines form as facial volume begins to deplete and deeper creases begin to form below the mouth.

Corners of the Mouth

The corners of the mouth, also known as the oral commissures, can turn downward as you age and lose volume below the mouth. This downturned appearance of the mouth can make you look like you are frowning or even mad. In addition, volume loss in this area often leads to the formation or the deepening of already-formed marionette lines.

Pre-Jowl Fold

A little known area of the face that can make a big impact on the way we look is the pre-jowl fold area, or the pre-jowl fold sulcus, which is the area on either side of our chin. Facial volume loss associated with the aging process results in sagging of the skin in other facial areas, and leaves the pre-jowl fold area hollow.

Chin Wrinkles

This pesky wrinkle, forming horizontally across the chin can really distract from the smile. Caused by facial volume loss, chin wrinkles appear gradually over time.

RADIESSE is comprised of Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in an aqueous gel carrier.

Once injected, it provides immediate volume and correction but continues to work by stimulating the body to produce its own natural collagen.

Over time, the gel is absorbed and the body metabolizes the CaHA microspheres leaving behind only your own natural collagen.
